Day 1: Airport - Lodge

Arrival: We’ll be waiting for you at the airport or bus station in Puerto Maldonado, no matter what time you arrive — though we recommend arriving in the morning so you won’t miss any afternoon activities.
Transfer to the lodge: We’ll take you to our office to get ready. If you arrive before 1:00 PM, we’ll include a delicious traditional lunch.
Check-in: Around 2:15 PM, you’ll be settling into your private bungalow. Our staff will assist with your luggage so you can simply relax.
Jungle walk: Your first activity is an introductory hike through the surrounding jungle, lasting about 1 hour.
Night cruise: We’ll head out on the river by boat in search of caimans along the shores and look for capybaras. On clear nights, you’ll see the Milky Way and a sky full of stars.
Dinner: After this jungle-filled day, we’ll enjoy a delicious dinner — then it’s time to rest.
START: At the time of your flight or bus arrival in Puerto Maldonado, Tambopata. After a delicious lunch at the lodge office, we’ll depart by boat at 2:00 PM, heading deep into the jungle.
END: 8:00 PM — You’ll be resting in your private bungalow.

Day 2: Lake Sandoval

Sandoval Lake: We’ll wake up very early at 4:30 AM. After a cup of coffee and breakfast, we’ll head upriver by boat.
National Reserve: At 6:00 AM, we begin a 3 km jungle hike towards Sandoval Lake. Along the way, we may spot macaws, howler monkeys, squirrel monkeys, and more. With your guide, you’ll paddle across the lake in a non-motorized boat.
You’ll have the chance to see black caimans, giant river otters, hoatzins, turtles, and lots of wildlife.
Return: After hiking and paddling under the jungle sun, we’ll head back around 12:00 PM for a well-earned rest.
Lunch: At 1:00 PM, we’ll enjoy typical jungle dishes with refreshing drinks — all 100% organic. Afterward, you can nap, relax in a hammock, read a book, or simply feel free.
Sunset Cruise: At 4:00 PM, we’ll meet up with the guide to explore the river. We may spot turtles, caimans, monkeys, and herons. We’ll enjoy the sunset from the boat with the engine off. In the dry season (July to October), we’ll even stop for a swim in the river.
At night, we’ll search for caimans and other wildlife before returning to the lodge for dinner.
START: 4:00 AM — After a delicious breakfast in your private bungalow, we’ll board the boat with your guide.
END: 8:00 PM — Back at your private bungalow.

Day 3: Return to Puerto Maldonado City

Breakfast: After checking out of your bungalow, we’ll enjoy a delicious breakfast at 7:00 AM.
Transfer to the city: After breakfast, we’ll return to Puerto Maldonado by boat.
Transfer out: Once we arrive back at our city lodge, we’ll provide your transfer to the airport or bus terminal so you can continue your journey. We’ll be back at the office around 10:00 AM.
If your flight or bus departs later, feel free to relax at the city lodge until your departure time — we’ll gladly recommend places to visit or eat while you wait.
NOTE: Activities are subject to change at short notice due to weather conditions or other circumstances beyond our control.

If you prefer not to join a certain activity, you are welcome to stay at the lodge.
