VISIT: Machu Picchu by car and hiking
We begin our Machu Picchu by Car adventure along the Amazon Route at 7:00 a.m., picking you up directly from your hotel in Cusco. From there, we’ll head toward the Sacred Valley of the Incas to start an unforgettable journey.
Abra Málaga (4,316 m / 14,160 ft)
After a few hours of travel, we’ll reach Abra Málaga, the highest point on our route. From this breathtaking mountain pass, you’ll enjoy stunning views of the surrounding snow-capped peaks.
Descent into the High Jungle
As we descend, the landscape transforms dramatically — from cold Andean mountains to the lush greenery of the high jungle, filled with rich biodiversity and vibrant vegetation.
Lunch in Santa Teresa
We’ll continue our trip to the charming town of Santa Teresa, where we’ll stop for a delicious local lunch — perfect to recharge for the next leg of our journey.
Journey to Hidroeléctrica
After lunch, we’ll take private transport to Hidroeléctrica, the starting point of our hike to Aguas Calientes.
Arrival in Aguas Calientes (approx. 5:30 p.m.)
By late afternoon, we’ll reach Aguas Calientes, the base town of Machu Picchu. You’ll check into a basic hostel with a private bathroom and hot shower.
Dinner & Optional Hot Springs
In the evening, enjoy a typical dinner at a local restaurant. If you wish, you can also visit the hot springs of Aguas Calientes (optional, not included) — a perfect way to relax after a day of adventure.

VISIT: Machu Picchu by car and hiking
The second day begins early with the thrilling visit to the majestic Machu Picchu. After a restful night in Aguas Calientes, we prepare to explore one of the most iconic wonders of the world. Depending on your preference, you can choose between two options to reach the entrance of the sanctuary: a hike for the adventurous or a bus ride for a more comfortable ascent.
Option 1: Hike to Machu Picchu (4:00 A.M.)
For early risers, you can start your hike at 4:00 A.M. and reach the entrance of Machu Picchu just before sunrise, enjoying the magical dawn over the Andes.
Option 2: Bus Ride to Machu Picchu (5:30 A.M.)
If you prefer a more relaxed start, take the first bus at 5:30 A.M. to reach the entrance of Machu Picchu comfortably and without effort.
Guided Tour in Machu Picchu (approx. 2 hours)
Once inside the citadel, enjoy a 2-hour guided tour through the most important sectors of Machu Picchu. Your professional guide will share fascinating stories and historical insights about this masterpiece of Inca architecture.
Free Time in Machu Picchu
After the guided tour, you’ll have free time to explore the sanctuary on your own, take unforgettable photos, or simply enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views.
Return Hike to Aguas Calientes (approx. 1.5 hours)
After your visit, we’ll begin the descent back to Aguas Calientes, passing once again through the beautiful landscapes of the high jungle.
Return to Hidroeléctrica and Journey Back to Cusco
From Aguas Calientes, we’ll walk back to Hidroeléctrica, where our transport will be waiting to take us back to Cusco.
Arrival in Cusco
We’ll arrive in Cusco around 10:00 P.M., finishing the tour at Plaza Regocijo, just one block away from the Main Square.
