VISIT: Vichaycocha 1 day tour from Lima
We begin our adventure to Rupac, departing from the city of Lima early in the morning. Our first stop will be the Huaral market, where we’ll make a few purchases and gather supplies for our evening campfire.
We’ll then continue our journey in private transport toward the village of Pampas, arriving around noon to enjoy a delicious local lunch. After a short rest, we’ll organize our backpacks and prepare for the start of our hike.
The trek to Rupac begins in the afternoon and lasts approximately 2 to 3 hours, depending on each participant’s pace. During the ascent, you’ll be rewarded with spectacular views of the central Andes and the valley below.
Around 5:00 P.M., we’ll reach the camping area and begin setting up our tents. Once settled, you’ll have some free time to explore the surroundings and take in the breathtaking sunset views.
At 8:00 P.M., our campfire night begins — a cozy gathering under a sky full of stars, perfect for sharing stories and enjoying the magic of the mountains.

We’ll rise early to witness one of Rupac’s most breathtaking natural spectacles — the sunrise over a sea of clouds, a truly unforgettable experience that feels like standing above the heavens.
Afterward, we’ll explore the archaeological complex of Rupac, often referred to as the “Machu Picchu of Lima.” Here, you’ll walk among ancient pre-Inca stone structures that reach up to three stories high and visit scenic viewpoints offering stunning panoramic vistas.
Once our visit concludes, we’ll begin our descent back to the village of Pampas, where a well-deserved lunch awaits.
Finally, we’ll board our private transport back to Lima, arriving around 6:00 P.M., marking the end of this incredible journey through history, nature, and Andean mystique.
