We’ll pick you up from Padre Aldámiz Airport, the bus terminal, or directly from your hotel in Puerto Maldonado.
Next, we’ll head to our office to repack your essentials for the jungle adventure. (Remember to bring only what you need!)
Boat Trip on the Madre de Dios River
We’ll embark on a 1-hour boat ride toward the lodge. During the journey, enjoy the lush Amazon scenery, exotic birds, and—with a bit of luck—some wild animals in their natural habitat.
Arrival Schedule at the Lodge
12:00 p.m. – Transfer IN (for guests arriving before 11:00 a.m.)
Arrival at the lodge around 1:00 p.m. Welcome with fresh fruit juice, Amazon-style lunch, and check-in to your private bungalow before starting your activities.
2:15 p.m. – Transfer IN (for guests arriving after 12:00 p.m.)
Arrival at the lodge around 3:15 p.m. Quick welcome with fruit juice and direct departure to your first activity. Your luggage will be taken to your bungalow.
3:45 p.m. – Introductory Jungle Walk
Guided by your expert guide, you’ll take a nature walk through the forest to discover the sounds, scents, and secrets of the Amazon ecosystem.
Approximate duration: 1 hour.
6:30 p.m. – Conservation Talk
At the lodge’s main house, your guide will share the important conservation efforts carried out in the region. Learn about wildlife rescue and protection projects through inspiring videos and stories.
7:30 p.m. – Amazonian Dinner
Enjoy a delicious dinner with local and exotic flavors. Afterward, relax with a tropical cocktail at the bar as you unwind and prepare for your first night in the jungle.

7:30 a.m. – Jungle Breakfast
Start your day with a delicious Amazonian breakfast served at the lodge — perfect for fueling up before a day full of exploration and adventure.
8:30 a.m. – Visit to the Taricaya Wildlife Rescue Center
We’ll walk through the forest along the riverbank until we reach the Taricaya Research and Volunteer Center, one of the most important wildlife conservation projects in the Peruvian Amazon.
During your visit, you’ll encounter animals such as:
- Macaws and toucans
- Howler and spider monkeys
- River and land turtles
- The spectacled bear (rescued from a circus)
- Jaguarundis and other native species
These animals are part of rehabilitation programs aimed at reintroducing them into their natural habitats. Many have already been successfully released — including the black spider monkey, a species once extinct in the area.
During the nesting season (July to September), you’ll also visit artificial turtle nesting beaches, where eggs are protected until hatchlings are safely released into the river.
The experience concludes with a panoramic view of the river and the rainforest from the observation tower before returning to the lodge (approx. 2-hour walk).
1:00 p.m. – Lunch and Free Time
Back at the lodge, enjoy a tasty Amazon-style lunch, then relax in the hammock area, rest in your private bungalow, or sip a tropical cocktail at the Tunche Bar.
3:45 p.m. – Canopy Walk and Sunset from Above
In the afternoon, we’ll venture into the protected primary forest of the Taricaya Ecological Reserve.
- Walk among ancient trees.
- Climb to a 15-meter-high platform and cross a 90-meter suspension bridge.
- Reach the Canopy Walkway, the highest canopy platform in South America — standing 45 meters above a majestic kapok tree.
From there, you’ll have the chance to spot macaws, parrots, and toucans, and witness a breathtaking Amazonian sunset over the treetops.
We’ll descend as the forest begins to change with the arrival of the night.
7:30 p.m. – Dinner and Amazonian Cocktails
End the day with a traditional Amazonian dinner and a refreshing cocktail at the bar. Then, unwind in your private bungalow and enjoy a peaceful night surrounded by the sounds of the jungle.

4:30 a.m. – Excursion to Lake Sandoval
Get ready for an early start! Enjoy a hot cup of coffee and a packed breakfast before boarding a motorboat heading to the Tambopata National Reserve (about 1 hour upriver).
Why so early?
- Early morning offers the best chances to spot wildlife.
- After 10:00 a.m., the sun gets stronger and rowing becomes more demanding.
6:00 a.m. – Jungle Hike to Lake Sandoval
We’ll begin a 3 km hike through the lush Amazon rainforest. Along the way, you’ll have the chance to see:
- Squirrel monkeys and howler monkeys
- Colorful macaws
- A variety of tropical birds
Upon reaching the lake, you’ll board a silent rowing canoe to explore this serene mirror-like body of water — home to the black caiman and the giant river otter, an endangered species.
This unforgettable experience takes place in untouched natural surroundings.
Total duration: approx. 5 hours (includes a snack by the lake before returning).
11:00 a.m. – Return to the Lodge
After another 3 km walk, we’ll board the boat to head back downstream to the lodge.
1:00 p.m. – Lunch and Relaxation
Upon arrival, enjoy a delicious Amazonian lunch. Then unwind in your private bungalow, relax in the hammock area, or sip on a cocktail at the Tunche Bar.
4:00 p.m. – Sunset River Cruise
In the afternoon, we’ll set out on a peaceful motorized canoe ride along the river. You’ll be able to spot turtles, monkeys, herons, and other riverside birds.
At one special moment, we’ll turn off the engine to drift quietly with the current and witness the breathtaking Amazonian sunset.
During the dry season (July–October), we’ll make a stop on a natural beach to dip your feet — or even take a refreshing swim in the river.

5:30 p.m. – Return and Cocktails
Back at the lodge, relax with a cocktail and enjoy the magical jungle atmosphere as night falls.
7:30 p.m. – Amazonian Dinner
End your day with a traditional Amazonian dinner and signature cocktails from the bar.

Start your day with a hearty Amazonian breakfast, the perfect boost of energy before an unforgettable cultural experience.
8:30 a.m. – Visit to the Ese-Eja Native Community
We’ll board a motorboat for a short 15-minute ride upriver to a small island, home to a family from the Ese-Eja Indigenous Community.
There, you’ll be warmly welcomed by Don Enrique, who will share with you:
- Stories of his life and ancestral beliefs.
- The history of his people, displaced from their ancestral lands by missionaries.
- Their traditions and deep spiritual connection with the jungle.
You’ll also have the opportunity to admire traditional crafts and handmade jewelry created by the women of the community.
Tip: Bring some cash if you’d like to purchase an authentic souvenir and directly support this local family.
After the visit, we’ll enjoy a peaceful boat ride back, observing riverbank birds and soaking in the tranquility of the Amazon.
11:00 a.m. – Return and Fresh Juice
Back at the lodge, relax with a refreshing juice made from Amazonian fruits while sharing your impressions of the morning’s experience.
1:00 p.m. – Lunch
Savor a typical Amazonian lunch served in the lodge’s main dining area.
3:45 p.m. – Afternoon Activities at Your Own Pace
The afternoon is yours to enjoy as you wish:
- Photography tour: Explore the lodge and its surroundings, capturing stunning shots of flora, fauna, and landscapes.
- Fishing on the river: Rent a fishing rod and try your luck catching piranhas or catfish.
6:30 p.m. – Night Cruise on the Madre de Dios River
As dusk falls, we’ll embark on a magical night boat ride along the river in search of nocturnal wildlife:
- Spectacled caimans resting on the riverbanks.
- Possible sightings of capybaras, the world’s largest rodent.
And if the sky is clear, a breathtaking blanket of stars will unfold above the jungle canopy.
The stillness of the river and the shimmering constellations make this an unforgettable experience.
7:30 p.m. – Dinner and Amazonian Cocktails
We’ll end the day with a flavorful dinner and typical Amazonian cocktails at the lodge.

8:00 a.m. – Return Trip to Puerto Maldonado
We’ll board the motorboat and navigate upriver for about 1 hour and 30 minutes toward the city of Puerto Maldonado.
Take advantage of this final journey to capture photos and say goodbye to the breathtaking Amazon rainforest.
9:30 a.m. – Arrival in Puerto Maldonado and End of Services
Upon arrival in Puerto Maldonado, we’ll transfer you to the airport or bus terminal for your onward journey.
If your flight or bus departs later, you’re welcome to stay at our office — we’ll recommend nearby places to visit in the city and arrange your transfer to the airport or terminal according to your schedule.
START: 7:00 a.m. at the lodge (check-out and breakfast).
END: 9:30 a.m. in Puerto Maldonado (transfer to the airport or terminal).
