VISIT: Misti Volcano 2 days Trek
We begin our adventure at 8:00 A.M., with pick-up from the Historic Center of Arequipa. From there, we’ll head out in a 4×4 vehicle toward the district of Chiguata, reaching the Pampas del Misti (3,450 m.a.s.l.) after approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes of travel.
From this point, we start our steady uphill hike at a relaxed pace, lasting around 5 to 6 hours. Along the way, we’ll enjoy breathtaking Andean landscapes, as well as the local flora and fauna typical of this volcanic region.
By the afternoon, we’ll arrive at the Base Camp (4,650 m.a.s.l.), where we’ll set up for the night in comfortable tents designed to withstand the cold mountain temperatures.
At 5:00 P.M., we’ll enjoy a hot dinner at the camp — perfect for recharging energy before resting. Please note that each participant should bring their own light lunch and snacks for the day’s hike.
We’ll head to bed early to prepare for the next day’s final ascent to the summit of the imposing Misti Volcano.

VISIT: Misti Volcano 2 days Trek
We’ll start the day early with a breakfast of coca tea and/or coffee, perfect for acclimatization and gaining the energy needed for the final ascent.
From Base Camp (4,650 m.a.s.l.), we’ll begin our hike to the summit of Misti Volcano (5,825 m.a.s.l.). This section is challenging and takes approximately 5 to 6 hours of steady climbing.
Once at the top, we’ll approach the active crater, where fumarolic activity can still be observed (optional visit). From the summit, you’ll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Andes mountain range, neighboring volcanoes, and the vast highlands.
After this once-in-a-lifetime experience, we’ll descend back to Base Camp (4,650 m.a.s.l.) to collect our equipment.
We’ll then continue the descent to the meeting point with our vehicle, which will take us back to the city of Arequipa, concluding this unforgettable adventure between 4:00 and 5:00 P.M.

- We work with several clinics and can help coordinate medical care if needed. These clinics will apply the travel insurance you have previously purchased; however, they do not offer travel insurance themselves.

- Day backpack (with rain cover if possible).
- Water (we recommend 1L per day).
