We begin the adventure from the city of Uyuni aboard a shared 4x4 vehicle. Our journey begins toward the main attractions of this extraordinary region of Bolivia.
11:00 a.m. – Visit to the Train Cemetery
Our first stop will be the famous Train Cemetery, where you will discover old locomotives and train cars that preserve more than 100 years of history, in the middle of a unique desert landscape.
11:45 a.m. – Visit to Colchani and Salt Handicrafts
We continue toward the community of Colchani to learn about the artisanal process of iodized salt production. You will also have time to see and purchase handicrafts and souvenirs made from salt.
12:30 p.m. – Entry to the Uyuni Salt Flats
We enter the largest salt flat in the world to discover the Eyes of the Salt Flat, the former Playa Blanca Salt Hotel, the Dakar Monument and the well-known Flags Square.
1:30 p.m. – Lunch in the Middle of the Salt Flats
We will take a break to enjoy our glamping-style lunch surrounded by the white immensity of the Uyuni Salt Flats, an experience that makes the landscape part of the journey.
2:30 p.m. – Incahuasi Island and Giant Cacti
We will venture approximately 70 km into the salt flats until reaching Incahuasi Island, famous for its giant cacti, petrified coral and 360° panoramic views. The visit is subject to weather conditions.
4:30 p.m. – Perspective Photos and Salt Flat Reflections
You will have time to take the classic perspective photos with the help of the driver-guide. During the rainy season, conditions may allow you to observe the famous mirror effect of the Uyuni Salt Flats.
6:00 p.m. – Sunset, Wine and Snacks at the Salt Flats
