What Is the Advantage of Taking the Lima City Tour in the Morning?
Taking the 4 hour Colonial and Modern Lima City Tour in the morning allows you to explore the city during the early hours of the day and finish around midday.
It is especially convenient if you want to enjoy a relaxed lunch, visit other attractions, or continue exploring on your own in the afternoon.
What Should I Wear for a Lima City Tour in the Morning?
Lima can be cool, humid, or cloudy in the morning, especially during fall and winter, while temperatures gradually rise throughout the morning during the summer months.
The most practical option is to wear comfortable layers, suitable walking shoes, and sun protection even on cloudy days.
Is It a Good Idea to Book Another Excursion Immediately After the Morning Lima City Tour?
It is not recommended to schedule another activity with a very tight timeframe.
Although the Lima City Tour lasts approximately 4 hours, city traffic may cause variations in the return time.
As a traveler tip, leave a reasonable amount of time before booking another excursion, transfer, or important commitment.

Why Choose the Afternoon Lima City Tour If I Have the Morning Free?
The 4 hour Colonial and Modern Lima City Tour in the afternoon allows you to organize your day more efficiently: you can use the morning to rest, explore Miraflores on your own, or enjoy Lima’s cuisine before the tour.
It is a practical option for discovering Lima’s main contrasts without taking up your entire day.
What Should I Bring to Explore Lima During the Late Afternoon?
Bring comfortable shoes, sunscreen, and an additional light layer. In Lima, the temperature can change as the afternoon progresses, especially during the cooler months.
A light jacket is useful for staying comfortable during the final part of the tour.
Is the Afternoon Lima City Tour a Good Option If I Have a Flight That Same Night?
It is not the most recommended option. Traffic in Lima can significantly increase travel times, especially in the late afternoon.
If you have a nighttime flight, it is better to take the city tour on another day to avoid rushing and allow enough time to reach the airport.

The Lima City Tour lasts approximately 4 hours and 15 minutes. The tour begins at 9:00 AM with pickup from your hotel and ends at around 1:15 PM after visiting Love Park in Miraflores.
Times are approximate and may vary slightly due to Lima traffic and the amount of time spent at each attraction.

🧠 Did You Know? In approximately half a day, you can discover attractions representing three important periods of Lima’s history: pre-Hispanic, colonial, and modern.
What Places Are Visited During the Lima City Tour?
During the Lima City Tour, we will visit Huaca Pucllana from the outside, El Olivar Forest, Lima’s Main Square, the San Francisco Catacombs, different streets of the Historic Center, and Love Park in Miraflores.
The tour is organized to show you the contrast between Lima’s pre-Hispanic past, the colonial architecture of the Historic Center, and the modern area of the capital.
💡 Get In Peru Tip: Keep your camera or phone ready during the tour, especially at Lima’s Main Square and Love Park, two of the best stops for taking photos of Lima.
🧠 Did You Know? The Historic Center of Lima was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, recognized for its historical importance and monumental architecture.
Does the Lima City Tour Include a Visit to the San Francisco Catacombs?
Yes. The Lima City Tour includes a visit to the San Francisco Catacombs, located beneath the San Francisco monumental complex in Lima’s Historic Center.
During the visit, you will explore these ancient underground spaces and learn from your guide about their history and the role they played as a burial site during the colonial period.
💡 Get In Peru Tip: If you are claustrophobic or uncomfortable in enclosed underground spaces, please let our team know before entering the catacombs.
🧠 Did You Know? The catacombs were used as a burial site during the colonial period and are now part of one of the most visited historic religious complexes in downtown Lima.
Do You Enter Huaca Pucllana During the Lima City Tour?
No. During our Lima City Tour, the visit to Huaca Pucllana is panoramic and takes place from the outside, so we will not enter the archaeological site.
At approximately 9:20 AM, our guide will explain the importance of this ceremonial complex before continuing the tour to El Olivar Forest.
💡 Get In Peru Tip: If you would like to visit the interior of Huaca Pucllana, set aside additional time to do so independently, as a complete visit requires more time than is available on this city tour.
🧠 Did You Know? Huaca Pucllana was built many centuries before the Spanish foundation of Lima and is now surrounded by the urban area of Miraflores.
Does the Lima City Tour Include Hotel Pickup?
Yes. Our Lima City Tour begins at 9:00 AM with pickup from your hotel in Lima, from where we will start the journey to our first stop: Huaca Pucllana.
This allows you to begin the experience directly from your accommodation without having to make your own way to the first attraction on the itinerary.
💡 Get In Peru Tip: Confirm in advance that your hotel is within our pickup area and wait in the lobby a few minutes before the scheduled pickup time.

It is not considered a physically demanding tour, although you will need to walk, remain standing for short periods, and use stairs during certain parts of the experience.
💡 Get In Peru Tip: Wear comfortable, supportive shoes, especially for walking through the streets of the Historic Center and during the visit to the catacombs.
🧠 Did You Know? Many of the main historic buildings in downtown Lima are located relatively close to the Main Square, allowing you to discover several attractions on foot.
What Should I Bring for the Lima City Tour?
For the Lima City Tour, we recommend bringing comfortable clothing, walking shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses, water, personal documents, and a light jacket.
Lima’s weather can vary depending on the time of year, so during the cooler months, it is also advisable to wear layers that you can easily put on or take off.
💡 Get In Peru Tip: Bring a light jacket even if the morning seems pleasant. Humidity and wind can make it feel cooler, especially during Lima’s winter.
🧠 Did You Know? Lima has a desert climate and receives very little rainfall, although humidity, clouds, and light drizzle are common throughout much of the winter.
Is a Lima City Tour Worth It If I Have Limited Time in Lima?
Yes. Taking a 4 hour Lima City Tour is a good option if you have limited time, as it allows you to discover several of the capital’s main historical and modern attractions in a single morning.
During the same tour, you will see Huaca Pucllana, explore the Historic Center, enter the San Francisco Catacombs, and finish the experience in Miraflores.
💡 Get In Peru Tip: If you only have one day in Lima, take the city tour in the morning and use the afternoon to discover the local cuisine or continue exploring Miraflores and Barranco.
🧠 Did You Know? Lima was founded by the Spanish in 1535, but its territory preserves archaeological sites belonging to cultures that developed many centuries earlier.
What Is the Best Way to Discover Colonial and Modern Lima in Just a Few Hours?

The tour connects Huaca Pucllana, San Isidro, Lima’s Historic Center, the San Francisco Catacombs, and Miraflores, offering an overview of the city’s evolution from its pre Hispanic past to modern day Lima.
💡 Get In Peru Tip: If this is your first visit to the capital, take this tour at the beginning of your stay. It will help you get familiar with Lima’s main areas and decide which ones you would like to explore later in greater depth.
🧠 Did You Know? On a single tour through Lima, you can go from a pre-Hispanic ceremonial center to colonial buildings and finish overlooking the Pacific Ocean in the modern district of Miraflores.
