After validating the access, we will board the eco-friendly bus that ascends along the Hiram Bingham road.

A 30-minute zigzag journey with spectacular views of the Urubamba canyon.

8:00 AM - Entrance to Machu Picchu

It is mandatory to present your valid original passport and your printed tickets at the official checkpoint of the Inca City to begin the tour without setbacks.

At the end of the circuit, you will board the bus back to town. You will have the afternoon free to have lunch on your own; our guide will recommend the best local food spots.

What is the best circuit in Machu Picchu?

The classic circuit because it allows you to take the panoramic postcard photo and walk through the entire original Inca citadel.

How many circuits are there to enter Machu Picchu?

Currently there are 3 official circuits, with Circuit 3 and 2 being the two that we highly recommend.

If I have a specific circuit, can I switch to another one once inside?

No, the trails are one-way, they are monitored and each circuit takes you through completely different sectors.

Can I transfer my ticket to another person?

No, each ticket is linked to your passport. At the checkpoint they scan both documents and they are 100% non-transferable.

4:30 AM - Pickup from your hotel in Cusco

We start the adventure. Our transportation and bilingual guide will pick you up at your hotel in the historic center of Cusco to begin the route south.

6:30 AM - Buffet breakfast in the district of Cusipata

First strategic stop to acclimatize the body. A good hot coffee and a nutritious breakfast will be key to beating the cold and loading up on energy.

7:15 AM - We continue toward the town of Pitumarca

We connect with the Cusco - Puno highway toward the town of Pitumarca, enjoying the beautiful Andean landscapes along the way.

8:30 AM - We begin the hike toward Vinicunca

We will arrive at the starting point of the trek, located at 4,900 meters above sea level. From here, we will begin the 1.5-kilometer hike alongside our expert guide, who will assist you every step of the way toward the summit.

10:00 AM - Arrival at the Rainbow Mountain viewpoint

Although the distance is short, with the altitude it is better to go slowly and gradually climb to the summit for the best photo at 5036 meters.

10:15 AM - Photos with the alpacas and Rainbow Mountain

Time to capture epic postcards. We suggest bringing coins in soles, as local community members wear traditional clothing and pose with their alpacas for souvenir photos.

12:00 PM - Transportation departs back to Cusco

We will begin walking down toward the transportation to start the return journey.

1:30 PM - Buffet lunch in the district of Cusipata

It is time to recover energy after the trek, we will have an included buffet lunch.

2:30 PM - We leave the restaurant

We board the transportation for a two-hour journey. Take advantage of the ride to rest, edit your photos, or take a nap until we reach the city.

4:30 PM - End of the tour in Cusco

We finish the adventure at Plaza Regocijo, one block from the Plaza de Armas. A central and ideal point to go to your hotel.

Can I rent horses if I cannot walk?

Absolutely, just make sure to bring cash and in soles, the cost is 60 soles one way and 100 soles round trip.

What type of clothing should I wear to go to Rainbow Mountain?

You should wear very warm clothing. Since it is very, very cold here, especially in the months of June and July, we recommend dressing in layers.

Do you recommend traveling if I am pregnant?

No, it is too risky, in case you feel unwell and oxygen needs to be administered, it could induce preeclampsia or even a miscarriage.
