What type of clothing should I wear for Huacachina Full Day?
Light and comfortable clothing for the desert heat. White, black and red colors contrast spectacularly in photos.
Bring a jacket for the return trip to Lima, as it gets cooler at night.
Will I get to see the sunset on Huacachina Full Day?
No, due to the return schedules to Lima, this one-day tour does not coincide with the sunset.
If you do not want to miss the sunset in the dunes, I recommend choosing our 2-day tours with an overnight stay in Ica.

Recommendations from a travel expert
What should I bring for the flight over the Nazca Lines?
To take the flight over the Nazca Lines, you should mainly bring your original passport or identity document used for the reservation. It is also recommended to wear comfortable clothing and bring only what is necessary to avoid carrying objects during boarding.
Is it advisable to eat a large breakfast before flying over the Nazca Lines?
No, it is not advisable, during the flight the plane tilts to both sides so that passengers can properly observe the geoglyphs, and these movements may cause dizziness in some people.

Travel Expert Recommendations
What is the best circuit at Machu Picchu?
The Classic Circuit is a popular option because it allows you to take the iconic panoramic photo and explore important areas of the Inca citadel.
How many circuits are there to enter Machu Picchu?
There are currently 3 official circuits, with Circuits 2 and 3 being the two options we particularly recommend depending on the type of experience you are looking for.
Can I transfer my Machu Picchu ticket to another person?
No. Each ticket is linked to the traveler's passport and is non-transferable. At the entrance checkpoint, your ticket and identification document are verified, so another person cannot use your admission ticket.

What does a Nazca 7 days itinerary in Peru normally include?
A Nazca 7 days itinerary combines coast, desert and Andes in one week: arrival in Lima, excursion to Huacachina, flight over the Nazca Lines, transfer to Cusco, visit to Machu Picchu, excursion to Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain and final transfer to the airport. The route brings together several of Peru’s most sought-after destinations, so it requires proper coordination of flights, buses, entrance tickets and tour schedules.
💡 Get In Peru Expert Tip: Check that the return from Nazca to Lima leaves enough time before the flight to Cusco the following day. Avoid scheduling both services too close together.
📍 Did you know? This route connects areas close to sea level with excursions that exceed 5,000 meters in altitude.
Are 7 days enough to visit Nazca, Machu Picchu and Rainbow Mountain?
Yes, Nazca 7 days allows you to visit Nazca, Machu Picchu, Huacachina and Rainbow Mountain if the itinerary is organized with consecutive transfers and well-coordinated schedules. It is an active-paced trip because it combines road journeys, a domestic flight, full-day excursions and significant changes in altitude. It is not designed for slow travel, but to make the most of a full week visiting several iconic destinations.
💡 Get In Peru Expert Tip: Do not add extra activities during the evenings in Nazca or Cusco. Having a few free hours to rest helps a lot when the following days start early.
📍 Did you know? Machu Picchu is located at a lower altitude than the city of Cusco, so not every day in the Andes has the same physical demands.
What is the route from Lima to Nazca like on a Nazca 7 days tour?
On a Nazca 7 days program, the journey to Nazca can be used to first visit Huacachina before continuing by road to Nazca. This arrangement avoids spending an entire day only on transportation and makes it possible to visit several attractions along Peru’s southern coast within the same route. After spending the night in Nazca, the flight over the Nazca Lines can be done the following morning.
💡 Get In Peru Expert Tip: Keep a small backpack with documents, water and personal items within easy reach. During a day with several transportation changes, constantly opening your main suitcase is impractical.
📍 Did you know? The Pan-American Highway South connects Lima with Paracas, Ica and Nazca, crossing extensive desert areas along the Peruvian coast.
Is the flight over the Nazca Lines included in Nazca 7 days?
The flight is one of the main activities of a Nazca 7 days itinerary because it allows you to observe from the air figures such as the Hummingbird, the Spider, the Monkey and other geoglyphs distributed across the Nazca desert. The experience normally requires a prior transfer to the aerodrome, passenger registration and presentation of the original document used for the reservation before boarding the small plane.
💡 Get In Peru Expert Tip: Schedule the flight in the morning whenever possible. This will give you more flexibility if the departure is delayed due to visibility, wind or air traffic organization.
📍 Did you know? Many of the Nazca figures are so large that their complete shape is much easier to appreciate from the air than from the ground.
Is it advisable to visit Huacachina before the Nazca Lines?
Yes. On a Nazca 7 days itinerary, visiting Huacachina before Nazca is logistically convenient because both destinations are located along the same route south from Lima. It is possible to first visit Paracas and Ica, enjoy buggy and sandboarding activities in Huacachina and then continue by road to Nazca to spend the night there before the flight the following day.
💡 Get In Peru Expert Tip: After the buggy ride, you can easily end up with sand in your shoes and clothes. Keep a light change of clothes accessible if you are going directly from Huacachina to your hotel in Nazca.
📍 Did you know? Huacachina is located next to the city of Ica and is surrounded by large desert dunes used for rides in tubular vehicles.
How is the transfer from Nazca to Cusco organized during Nazca 7 days?
In Nazca 7 days, a practical way to connect both regions is to return from Nazca to Lima and then take a Lima–Cusco flight. This arrangement makes it possible to travel from the southern coast to the Andes without taking an extremely long overland journey to Cusco. Upon arrival, it is advisable to keep the rest of the day relatively relaxed to gradually adapt to the altitude before continuing with Machu Picchu and Vinicunca.
💡 Get In Peru Expert Tip: Avoid buying the flight to Cusco immediately after the estimated arrival time of the bus from Nazca. Overland travel times may vary due to traffic or road conditions.
📍 Did you know? Cusco is located at approximately 3,400 meters above sea level, a considerable change compared to the Peruvian coast.
Is there enough time to acclimatize in Cusco during Nazca 7 days?
The Nazca 7 days itinerary offers limited acclimatization, so it is important to manage the first hours in Cusco well. Arriving from Lima and keeping the day relatively relaxed before the excursions helps the body adapt to the change in altitude. Machu Picchu is located lower than Cusco, while Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain reaches a considerably higher elevation and is usually the most physically demanding day.
💡 Get In Peru Expert Tip: On your first day in Cusco, walk slowly, drink water regularly and avoid a very heavy dinner. Arriving well rested for the following tours makes a noticeable difference.
📍 Did you know? Vinicunca exceeds 5,000 meters in altitude, while Machu Picchu is located at around 2,430 meters.
Why is Machu Picchu visited before Rainbow Mountain on Nazca 7 days?
On Nazca 7 days, visiting Machu Picchu before Rainbow Mountain allows the higher-altitude excursion to be scheduled after spending more time in the Cusco region. Although Machu Picchu involves walking and stairs, it is located at a considerably lower altitude than Vinicunca. This sequence helps avoid making a hike above 5,000 meters the first demanding activity after arriving from Lima.
💡 Get In Peru Expert Tip: Do not change the order just to get a more convenient schedule. Altitude progression should also be considered when organizing the days in Cusco.
📍 Did you know? From Cusco, you descend considerably to reach the Machu Picchu area before gaining altitude again on other Andean excursions.
What type of luggage is best for a Nazca 7 days tour?
For a Nazca 7 days trip, the most practical option is to travel with moderate luggage and a small backpack for daily excursions. The itinerary includes buses, a plane, hotels and several transfers, so carrying a suitcase that is too large can make getting around more difficult. You will also need light clothing for the coast and warm layers for Cusco and Rainbow Mountain due to changes in temperature and altitude.
💡 Get In Peru Expert Tip: Keep documents, medications, sunscreen and a warm layer in your carry-on backpack. Do not depend on accessing your main suitcase during transfers.
📍 Did you know? On the same trip, you can go from the desert climate of Ica to much lower temperatures in the high Andean areas of Cusco.
What should I check before booking a Nazca 7 days tour?
Before booking Nazca 7 days, pay special attention to the transportation schedules, the Nazca overflight, the Lima–Cusco flights, the Machu Picchu entrance tickets and the order of the high-altitude excursions. It is also advisable to verify which meals, hotels, transfers and tickets are included. Since this is a multi-destination itinerary, a good connection between services is more important than simply including many places within seven days.
💡 Get In Peru Expert Tip: Confirm Machu Picchu and the services with limited availability first before purchasing flights or transportation separately. A poorly chosen schedule may force you to modify several days.
📍 Did you know? On routes that combine the coast and the Andes, a delay in a single transfer can affect reservations scheduled for the following day.
